Where's andrae? i got your andrae...
I gotta disagree with my boy keith. He earned his dismissal by breaking the rules like he did. Sure, Kyle wasnt being nice by turning his ass in, but I would have done the same thing. Its a competition, and if you catch a genuine challenger acting up against the rules, it would be stupid not to get rid of him in such an obvious way. Keith's whole "escapegoat" mention is way out of left field. He didnt get kicked out because he was the thin minority, he got kicked out because he got busted cheating.|
on further note, I really think that this was a double edge sword for the producers. On the one hand, Keith was the sexiest member of the cast, a good provider of drama and a reason for people to watch. Kicking him out would have been a complete no no. had a "blah" contestant done it (see BONNIE, for instance) it would have been a different story. I think the producers must have had a short argument with Kyle on the phone and Kyle must have referenced the contract at one point. Ie: either he goes or I sue.
On the flip side, I think that keith leaving was huge ratings too. I mean, no one watched the season finale of THE HILLS, i can guarantee you that much. So its hard to assess the pros and cons of the decision.
Overall this season is troubling. either the editing is focusing on the wrong things or this cast just lacks that cohesive addictive quality that made season one and two completely addictive. We havent really picked sides yet, no one is really coming accross as an 'honest" weirdo, with maybe the exception of vincent, laura and rosettes girl. Everyone else seems "half made/half finished" in many ways.
I also dont see tim gunn LOVING anyone yet. You know what I mean? He LOVED jay, austin, wendy pepper, kara saun, santino, andrae, emmitt (we know that was real love). with these people, his eyes say "eh, you could die tomorrow and its ok.."
They all need to make it work
